Currency and payment
Prices on the website are in rubles. We’ll confirm the settlement procedure, payment currency and payment method from Kazakhstan when you connect.
Telephony
The software runs on a cloud Asterisk PBX and connects to any SIP operator. To launch, you need a multi-line number from a Kazakh telecom operator or SIP provider; if the operator only offers an analog line, a VoIP gateway is used. We’ll check compatibility with your provider before launch.
Maps
UpTaxi uses its own mapping: your city’s road graph is loaded when we set up the server. We’ll confirm map coverage and detail for your city when you connect; roads, banned turns and addresses can be edited in your account dashboard.
Interface language
The dispatcher console, account dashboard and apps are in Russian. We’ll confirm whether Kazakh localization is possible when you connect.
Fares and pricing
Trip prices are calculated in tenge (₸) using your fares: a fixed upfront price based on the road graph, a GPS taximeter, or both at once. Dynamic peak-hour surcharges are configured by the manager.
Payment systems and SMS
In-app card payments for passengers and driver balance top-ups through payment services available in Kazakhstan are set up individually — we’ll confirm the list when you connect. SMS are sent through any SMS aggregator over SMPP or through a GSM gateway; UpTaxi charges no fee for messaging.
